Guillermo and the wooden board

So alarm clock goes off, try to reach for my mobile phone to shut it down and… turns out it is Sunday 19th of March: Zeist! After something more than a year training with the crazies of Slopend, I was going to be joining them for my first survival race.
Around 14:15 my turn came. Everything happened very fast at the start and so, after the first 3 obstacles, the Sloper Werner and I had taken the lead in our group. We pushed each other to make it in one piece through the 7.5 k and keep the bracelet. So, we aced the obstacles one by one until the last combis. There, we saw a massive line of people presaging no good! Apparently, a low blackboard was making people give up their bracelets just 2 obstacles away from the finish line. After some tries, Robert and I had made it through, and soon after we were ringing the bell at the finish line! The rest of the Slopers continued to reach the finish and nail that awful blackboard with a final determined Silvia Filgueira that marked the end of the day.
That being said, I am already hyped and looking forward to the next one. Who’s in?
